update

Yesterday we welcomed a new baby girl into our extended family. Taylor Jane Bauer was born yesterday at 8:15 am!! We are so excited for Travis, Heather, and Allison!!! More lil girls to spoil with princess stuff!!! hehe!

Nothing else is new with me. I have a few graduations to go to this weekend and a bunch more next weekend, but Layton is having his big birthday party next Saturday so I don't know how many graduations I will get to next weekend!!

I can't believe my little baby is almost a year old!! Last night I went back and looked at all the pictures of him when he was born and now look at him.. (Sorry Ang I'm going to copy your idea.. just to compare a little!!!)

Well I'm off to enjoy my weekend!!!

Long and Busy weekend!

Usually Memorial Day Weekend is for relaxing. This year, there was no relaxing! It all started Thursday. Let me run you through my weekend!

Thursday: Bridal Shower in New Ulm. Had to bring Layton with and he was grumpy so stayed there for maybe an hour. Took him home, hoping me would fall asleep in the car. No such luck. He was up until about 9:30pm!!! Uff Da!!!

Friday: It was one of those "Days" at work. All the kids were wild, nothing seemed to be going right and I had to leave me baby again! That night I headed to Nicollet for wedding rehearsal and the grooms supper! Myranda was here babysitting and thank goodness she wore Layton out because he was sleeping when I got home, and he slept until 8:45am Saturday morning! It was Wonderful!!

Saturday: Layton slept in so I was able to get my hair done for the wedding. Got Layton up and took him to Brenda's where he spent the day. He was sick so I felt bad for being gone for so long. He is teething so Brenda got to put up with the little one. Had a busy day being a personal attendant for a college friend. It was fun though. I left the dance around 9:00pm to get home to my baby!!! By the time I got to Brenda's he was laughing and giggling, until I wanted to take a picture with him then he got grumpy again! took him home and put him to bed!!!!

Sunday: Took a little nap in the a.m. with Layton, then headed to Fairfax for a graduation! Layton and I ate and had to leave right away because we had a baby shower to get too! My cousin Heather is going to be having a baby on Friday so we threw here a quick baby shower!! It went good!! We just had bars and cake to eat but the best part of the whole weekend was that I FINALLY got my rubbarb with marainge(sp)! I have seriously been waiting 2 whole summers for that!!! It was so GOOD! After my busy afternoon, I went home and took a nap..until my little one woke me up. But at least I got a good hour of sleep in, It was wonderful. Then it was back out to the farm for a little family fun and pizza! Layton played outside until he told me it was time to go HOME!!! Took him home, gave him a bath, and snuggled on the couch until he was ready for bed!

Today (Monday): It's only 9am so I can't tell ya what I will be doing this afternoon but whatever it is I hope it's relaxing! I kinda have two choices, stay here in Winthrop or go to St. Cloud with my Mom for a little outdoor grilling. Can't decide though, I'm just pooped for my busy weekend!!!

I was also trying to decide if I wanted to go out to Chad's grave. I have yet to go out there! I just feel like I have a better connection with him in my dreams. I have no desire to go out there, just feels like he isn't there. It's strange because I will go out to my uncles grave, to my friend Steph's grave but I just don't want to go out to Chad's, yet. I know today would be a good day but I still don't know. He knows I think about him everyday, and I see him in my dreams so I feel a lot better about those things then going out to him grave where I know it's just his body, that's it. His spirit is among us, and that's what I feel is important. We will see if I have the courage and strength to get out there.

Sorry for the long and boring details of my weekend. I'm going to go lay down while Layton is sleeping, and decide what I'm going to do today!!!

It's really not falling apart, is it???

Have you ever had a time when you thought your world was falling apart? I'm sure all of you have. Well maybe it's just me but lately it seems like everything just keeps falling apart!!! I don't want any one feeling sorry for me but I just had to get this all off my chest (which I seem to need to do a lot lately!). Today I found out I last my job at GFW. Budget cuts will do that to an employee. There is nothing I can do to change it either. I feel so helpless and hopeless!! Here I am expecting a baby in August, I lost the father of this baby boy in March and now in May I lose my job. Plus come July I will be fighting to keep full custody of Layton (that's a whole other story that I'm not going to get into!). When is there a turning point in ones life? When does everything start looking better? I know it's the real world, but sometimes it's hard to understand why everything bad keeps happening!!! I hope things start looking up from here on out!!!!!

Quick News!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Layton is walking.. Well I should say he is taking baby steps but he is finally figuring it out!! It is so exciting!!!

A little fun for Mommy

It was finally my turn to go out and enjoy myself!! My mom and a few guys went to the Twins game! It was a blast. We had AWESOME seats and we got a really good deal on them. We sat on the homerun porch in the front row! Then Go-Go Gomez hit a homerun right by us. We had a breif TV appearance (Link on the bottom of the page!). It's always fun when the action comes your way! I am looking forward to the day when I get to take my boys to a Twins game in the new ballpark. Summer days can't get much better than that!!! I just uploaded a few pictures from last night!!!!

My very first Mothers Day!!

I had my very first mothers day and boy was it tiring!!! I guess that's what being a mom is all about!! Last night Layton baked me a yummy pumpkin cake, that says I love Mommy. He also got me a card!! This morning he decided to wake me up bright and early (5:15am) to let me know how special I am! Lets just say that was the beginning to my busy day!! After playing for a couple of hours, we headed out to church for a baptism (8:00am), he was not the sweet little boy he usually is at church!! Maybe he was just tired because he had been up since..let me remind you..5:15am!!!! Once we got home he finally went to sleep just as My mom, Kt, and I were about to leave for lunch. I stayed home with the sleeping boys and Kt and Mom went out for brunch. My big mothers day lunch was Raman Noodles and a chicken pot pie! I got to eat in peace and quiet which was kinda nice, I turned on a Lifetime movie and enjoyed my dinner..alone (what I mean by alone is that I didn't have little boys eating all of my dinner!)! Then Katie Called me to run over to the neighbors where she is babysitting and check out a toilet problem. So I run over there and find something NO MOTHER wants to find! A toilet full of...well you can guess...there was nothing I could do to fix the problem it was that bad. So had to leave that one for Katie when she gets back. Then it was off to Grandma Uecker's. It's always nice to just sit around outside and chit chat and chase kids around. Thank Goodness for Brenda, Connie, Grandma, Dad, Robyn, and whoever else helped out with Layton and Brayden.. oh yeah and Abby. Because by this time in the day I was TIRED!! Then I ate a very quick bowl of my favorite hot dish..Elbow noodles, Ketchup, and hamburger and I was out the door to the other Grandma's. I had a nice 5 minute quiet meal there and then It was back to being a mom. Once we got home from there it was Bath, bottle, and bed!! I love being a Mom that's for sure!! And today just proved what being a mom is all about...The love for your child(ren), family, and friends and of course...staying as busy as ever!:) I love this full time job and I am looking forward to next year when I get to spend it with two boys!!!!!

Layton is exteremly creeped out by grass. Don't ask me why, I am such an outdoors person I could sleep in the grass, but he will try hard to let only certain body parts touch. See Pictures below.

We get home from running our errands tonight and I set Layton down and he started crawling around like that again, then after his bath I let him have naked time and he was doing it AGAIN.. Maybe it's not the grass and that's his new crawl.. or maybe he is just pretending to be a bear!! Who knows.. but I think it is super funny to watch. Well I just enjoyed some ice cream w/ chocolate and lots of bananas and now it's time for some Jon and Kate plus 8!! Have a super evening!

We had a pretty uneventful weekend.. Oh wait.. there was one HUGE event.. Layton Slept through the night the whole WEEKEND! Man was that awesome!! Saturday we went to GFW's Prom and Sunday we spent the afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa Bauer's. It's always so peaceful out there! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Adjustments

Many adjustments are being made in my life right now. As well as Laytons. Where do I start?

Chiropractior
Layton and I had our first chiro appointment yesterday. I am having sever hip and pelivic pain and Layton has had ear infection after ear infection. I thought we might try this route. Chad's sister is a chiropractior and recommended a Dr. to us in New Ulm. Layton went first...Lets say he was a little scared. After talking with Stacie about it she said most babies react the same way he did because it is a little scary but they usually get used to it the second time. Lets hope that's the case. He adjusted Layton in just a couple minutes and then Layton was done, besides a little crying the boy did good!! Well, me on the other hand, I was a little more scared, even though I didn't show it. I was shaking on the inside! Everything went great with me, pain is still there but I guess it's going to take a few times for it to actually work!! Cross your fingers!

Work
Budget cuts...Does much more need to be said! IT STINKS!!! I love my job but I hate going to work because that's all I hear about!! Who is being cut? When will we know? Blah Blah Blah!! I can't lose my job, (well really who can lose their job?) but I have a baby on the way, whose father just passed away in a tragic accident, I need healthy insurance, plus I have a 10 1/2 month old too!! I just wanna scream!

New Baby
Life with one baby is an adjustment, life with two baby is going to be even more of an adjustment! and they are only going to be about 14 months apart! Scary! But God helps us through things like this and I know I will be okay. Plus we have an angel watching over us at all times! Life is just going to have a new little twist!

There are a lot most adjustments I am going to have to make in the next year but I'm sure everything will be okay because it usually works out in the end! Still missing Chad everyday. But I am learning to deal with some of my emotions and work them out by myself. I got to talk with his sister tonight and that always helps! I feel so connected to her!! Anyways.. I better go.. ER is on!!
